I created this blog for 2 main reasons. Firstly, to help myself keep track of different projects, and record my own ideas as they develop.

Having just moved this blog to a new hosting company, TSO, I thought I’d also take the opportunity to point out a new site I released with Max over at MoneyBits.com a couple of weeks ago.
The concept behind BlogGears is simple - persuade the audience to visit your blog using a video pitch, taking no more than 90 seconds. Viewers can then rate your performance and leave feedback. A few of the bigger name bloggers have already made a pitch; I won’t tell you who, go and find out!
The next stage will involve expanding the site to encompass a widget exchange, so that video views and traffic and just confined to the BlogGears site itself.

There has been a lot of talk recently about the drop in pagerank of a number of sites, from ProBlogger to the Washington Post - the suspected cause being link selling. First off, let’s put it in perspective - it is a suspected cause - no one knows for sure. But even if it is the case, does it matter?
Think of PageRank as an after thought. It is a value that supposedly sums up the strength of pages on your site. Being a sum up, it can only occur after the real goings on have taken place.
